John Podesta Calls on the US Government to Open the UFO Files

White House Staff Secretary and White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations for the Clinton Administration between January 20, 1993 until October 20, 1998. White House Chief of Staff to President Bill Clinton from October 20, 1998 until January 20, 2001. Counselor to President Barack Obama from January 1, 2014 until February 13, 2015. Chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. Former president, and now Chair and Counselor, of the Center for American Progress (CAP), a think tank in Washington, D.C., as well as a Visiting Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center.

At a 2002 press conference organized by the Coalition for Freedom of Information, Podesta spoke on the importance of disclosing government UFO investigations to the public.
 

“It’s time to find out what the truth really is that’s out there,” he said. “We ought to do it, really, because it’s right. We ought to do it, quite frankly, because the American people can handle the truth. And we ought to do it because it’s the law.”

 
In his pursuit to change the status quo he reassured the public during Clinton’s 2016 campaign he’d “convinced her that we need an effort to kind of go look at that and declassify as much as we can, so that people have their legitimate questions answered.”

His engagement in the topic was leveraged against him during and after Clinton’s presidential campaign. He was also falsely accused of being a child abuser in what became known as the “Pizzagate”, a debunked conspiracy theory that went viral during the 2016 United States presidential election cycle. It has been extensively discredited by a wide range of organizations, including the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (read more on Wikipedia)

John Podesta appeared on a number of TV programs and gave a number of interviews for the national media where he advocated for the full disclosure, including the History Channel “Ancient Aliens” series.
